Traveling across the world for study is a challenging, but extremely rewarding experience! The combination of the ability to see new places, adventure and high quality educational opportunities means international study is becoming increasingly popular worldwide. This is particularly true in the U.S. where an estimated 670 000 students lived and studied in 2009.

That said, even though these substantial rewards exist and the number of students coming to the U.S. is so high, there is unfortuntely a lack of comprehensive admissions advice for international students. This is particularly true for students applying to more selective schools. International Student Admissions (ISA) will hopefully begin to change this by providing quality, comprehensive advice on admissions and financial aid at selective U.S. boarding schools, undergraduate colleges/universities and graduate schools.

A bit about me – I have been working in international education since I graduated from college. In that time I have worked for a large multinational corporation as a corporate trainer, in an international school as a teacher and had my own educational consulting firm that guided students that wanted to study internationally. I have a Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA Extension School and, in 2009, I attended Harvard Graduate School of Education to do a Masters degree in International Education Policy.

I hope you’ll join me in making ISA the destination of choice for admissions information on highly selective schools in the U.S.

I look forward to meeting you in the comments!
